iKnowTech – 2026 Business Support Plan Rates

Effective for new customers beginning Jan 1st 2026, and all existing customers on July 1st, 2026.

The hourly rate for service with a Support plan is increasing by 10% starting in 2026. My last rate increase was in 2023, so this is about 3.33% annual increase to adjust for inflation. Trip and Travel charges are also increasing by 10%. What is not increasing is the cost of the support plans themselves your per user/device charges will remain the same. Clients who have an iKnowTech support plan get a greatly reduced hourly rate of $110/hr. in comparison to my limited availability Break/Fix hourly rates. It is highly recommended to have a support plan if you have any expectations for prompt service. Devices/Users supported under a support plan that have a problem which is severely impacting your business operations will get a SLO (Service Level Objective) of a 24-hour response time.

  • The support plan rate covers both on-site and off-site / remote support.
  • On-site support requires a 1-hour minimum, then billed on 1/4 hour.
  • Off-site / Remote support requires a 1/4 hour minimum, then billed on the 1/4 hour.

The fixed cost of the monthly support plan is calculated using a combination of users and devices to be supported. The fixed cost of the support plan does not include any labor, the support plan gets you the reduced hourly rate, and a much higher level of availability and better response times.

Fixed monthly costs for a business support plan

$50/User/Month

A User can be defined as anyone using a computer as part of their role in the business.    This per User charge includes one Desktop, Laptop, or Workstation for support.      This is a person in the business that can request IT support for themselves and the computer/s they use.

$25/Additional Computer/Month

An “Additional Computer” can be defined as any computers that a business wishes to have supported that are not included in the above Per User charge.    If a single user has a laptop and desktop, they will incur one “Additional Computer” charge.

$50/Server/Month

Any device with a Server Operating System or that is used to serve an application or service to multiple users. This includes both Physical and Virtual Servers. In most cases Hypervisors will not have any additional billing. Backup and Recovery services are billed separately.

$50/Network/Month

A Network can be defined as any location that has an Internet connection, in which that iKnowTech is responsible for supporting and maintaining the network up time. Typically, this will involve advance networks, with firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and hardware beyond what is provided by your Internet Service Provider. All supported network hardware must be from approved network hardware brands and models. iKnowTech will keep on hand backup inventory for every network device on your network, so if a hardware failure occurs, that results in network outage, you can be back online within 24 hours. Some network stacks require additional licensing and subscription fees from the Manufacturer. Please reach out if you have questions about the network stacks we support.

All on-site appointments are billed a $55 Trip Charge

There is a $55 Minimum Trip Charge for all on-site appointments, that includes the first 20 miles from zip code 94947.  Locations beyond 20 miles are billed an additional Travel Charge of $1.65 per mile (round-trip). All other travel related expenses such as bridge tolls, or parking charges, will also be charged as a reimbursed expense.

Example: If your location is 30 miles from zip code 94947, your travel charge would be 30 miles – 20 miles included = 10 miles x 2 (roundtrip) = 20 miles x $1.65/mile = $33 Travel Charge.
